Abstract
A method is presented for designing an all-zero nonrecursive digital filter with arbitrary phase and unity magnitude. The filter is very useful for correcting the phase response of a predesigned IIR (infinite impulse response) digital filter meeting a prescribed magnitude response. The design procedure is based on an algorithm for solving the overdetermined system of linear equations in the Chebyshev norm
