Abstract :
In this paper, a study on single-phase delta UPS topological alternatives is proposed for low power and low cost applications. The proposed topology has a DC-DC converter connected between the shunt inverter and the battery bank/series converter DC terminals. This modification will allow the downsizing of the DC battery bank as well as the removing of the series converter transformer. Two different topologies of the DC-DC converter were investigated and a brief comparative study is accomplished. Simulation and experimental results are presented to validate the proposed study.
