Abstract :
Nowadays, the positioning systems based on Wi-Fi technologies are becoming a new trend, being studied actively by many researchers which try to find the best solution with the highest accuracy. Positioning systems are useful in many real life contexts, such as work, personal life, security, health, logistics and intelligent transportation systems, inventory management, location detection of products, equipment, etc. This paper presents a system whose aim is to identify the location of a mobile user in indoor environments. The proposed system is based on low-power Wi-Fi technology and detects the user location using Received Signal Strength Indicator (RSSI).
