Abstract
Parallel development of the hardware and software may be desirable when designing a new architecture. The software developers can benefit of the hardware development efforts to obtain programming facilities. The hardware developers can benefit of software development efforts to validate the designed hardware and to evaluate the performances of the hardware resources. However to do this, an environment providing functionality to hardware simulation and software development should be necessary. We present the implementation of a development environment for hardware and software co-simulation for the Rapid-2 project
