Abstract
Honeywell Inc.´s Test Generation System (TGS), which assists test engineers in the production of test drivers by consolidating source code and test case information in a common database from which a complete test driver is created, is described. Automating test driver production reduces labor investment, while standardizing the test driver development process and its products. TGS improves test engineer productivity by identifying the inputs and outputs of the routines under test, providing a user-friendly interface for defining tests, and generating test drivers. The extent of the productivity gains which TGS has provided to the testing effort is considered
