Abstract
The paper presents a method of moments (MOM) numerical analysis of coaxial waveguide outer-conductor step discontinuities. An aperture is associated with each planar step discontinuity, and higher-order mode contributions from discontinuities are accounted for. Convergence properties of the numerical method are illustrated. Computed results are compared to those from other methods in the literature for selected test cases. The MOM computer program provides for coax waveguides with numerous discontinuities as well as the one and two-discontinuity situations which are often encountered in engineering design
