Abstract :
Summary form only given, as follows. For the first time a simultaneous dual band PA with different operation modes for each frequency is presented. A dedicated matching network is employed to synthesize Class-AB impedance condition at lower bands and Class-J condition at upper bands. The measured results show a 47% and 52% PAE for an output power of 37.3dBm and 35.7dBm at 1.5GHz and 3.8GHz, respectively. Moreover, the PA exhibits 41% drain efficiency across 1.4–1.6 GHz and 3.0–3.9 GHz with 36dBm average output power.
