Abstract
In this paper, the effect of the chamber shape and the effect of the absorber positions on the applications of a reverberation chamber are studied respectively. Simulation results indicate that a relatively small variation of the chamber shape may have great effect on the field uniformity of the working volume inside the reverberation chamber. The field uniformity is also affected by the absorber positions within a reverberation chamber. The possible reasons behind these issues are discussed. Conclusions with some suggestions are given to ensure the normal working conditions of a reverberation chamber.
