Abstract :
Summary form only given, as follows. We have developed a wideband sub-mm-wave communications transceiver, which operates at a carrier of 307.2 GHz with bandwidth of 30 GHz. It is able to transmit and receive up to 2 meters, high speed wireless signals at 12.5 Gbps using coherent binary phase shift keying (BPSK) modulation. Measured results are reported for Bit Error Rates (BER) and constellation plots are presented. Design considerations for this direct-conversion transceiver architecture using subharmonic mixers will be discussed.
