Abstract :
Summary form only given, as follows. The application of the concept of imaging radar to microwave level gauging represents a prospect of increasing reliability to target detection. A high angular resolution with a limited number of array elements can only be achieved with the cost of increased side lobes. This problem can be modeled by a point spread function (PSF). The present paper proposes techniques to invert the PSF, using the example of a frequency modulated continuous wave (FMCW) system.
