Abstract :
This work presents the development, analysis and implementation of a 3-level inverter using the flying capacitor topology for DC/AC conversion. Its main application is AC drives systems, where the frequency, magnitude and low harmonic content are required. The algorithms are built in digital signal processor (DSP) environment and include the pulse width modulation, the control of flying capacitor voltages and rules to reduce the oscillations at the output signals. In this first version, it is presented the simulation and some experimental results. The most important aspects related to the project of the electronic system are described. In the final version, the experimental results including the harmonic analysis will be presented, too.
