  • Abstract
This paper deals with the problem of electromagnetic interference (EMI) generated in power converters used to power factor correction (PFC). The topologies discussed in this paper are the boost, the interleaved boost and the dual boost converters. The main noise sources generated by converters and a comparative analysis of the differential mode noise and common mode noise present in the topologies in study are shown. The EMI filter design to comply with the EMI standards is also approached. Experimental results of the conducted EMI of the converters operating as PFC are presented at the end of the paper, in order to prove the comparisons.
