  • Abstract
    Standalone, reduced-order, dynamic model of fuel cell power plant connected to a distribution grid via DC/AC converter is developed in this paper. This model is suitable for the preliminary power system planning, stability analysis, and control strategy synthesis and evaluation. The model is developed in time-domain per-unit system, utilizing qd-transformation of the electrical variables. The model has been applied to an illustrative system to investigate the interaction between fuel cells and the grid. The voltage-source-based current control strategy for a sin-PWM converter with a decoupled feedback controller has been proposed.
