  • Abstract
This paper proposes a combination of a block reservation and a multipriority resource allocation technique for a packet switched wireless multiple access protocol. A block reservation protocol has been developed based on ATDMA slot and frame structure. The developed protocol is called BRTDMA which use different slot reservation strategies for multiservice traffic. Capacity and fairness of the protocol are further enhanced by using a multipriority traffic slot allocation technique. The slot allocation technique is used at the base station for traffic slot allocations. Simulation results are presented to show the effectiveness of the block reservation and the multipriority slot allocation techniques
