Abstract
An adaptive transmission scheme is proposed for MIMO system. By considering the SINR with HARQ combination and the transmission number, the effective throughput, i.e., the ratio of the bit number and the transmission number is calculated. Different from these adaptive schemes based on the rank or conditional number of the channel and these schemes based on received SINR, the proposed algorithm is independent of specific channel. In the simulation, DiagABBA, Double ABBA, V-BLAST and the proposed adaptive mode four 4times4 MIMO modes are considered. The simulation results show that the adaptive scheme always achieves the optimal performance.
