Abstract
Summary form only given, as follows. Other researchers have found it difficult to design a symmetrical six-port waveguide junction for operation over the entire WR90 bandwidth. A novel design has been proposed in the present paper by incorporating a combination of features (viz. over-sized cavity, metallic diaphragms, dielectric sleeve and central post with ridges). Simulations and measurements have confirmed that the resulting prototype is able to meet the design specifications over 50% of the WR90 bandwidth (9.7 GHz to 11.8 GHz)
