Abstract
This paper presents a resource discovery mechanism based on buffer and pre-selection with the combination of peer-to-peer (P2P), local theory and grid resource management under grid environment. The most significant innovation of our work is the efficient application of buffer and pre-selection in resource discovery of leveled grid. This paper also proposes a resource discovery algorithm based on the model mentioned above. The network structure based on this model could effectively adapt to the complexity, heterogeneity and scalability of the grid resource. Our experiments prove that the mechanism could shorten the average response time and optimize the resource discovery efficiency in the mean time.
