Abstract
Considerable advances in image storage techniques are now making possible systems for the capture of image sequences showing the scene before, at, and after the time at which a PIDS (perimeter intrusion detection system) is triggered. Novel design features aimed at enhancing the overall performance of the imaging system with cost saving implications are presented
