Abstract
A method of averaged diversity combining of packets for a wideband CDMA (WCDMA) system is presented. This method entails the use of blind retransmission identification at the receiver to overcome the need for other throughput-reducing schemes for retransmission identification. Simulation results are provided which demonstrate the usefulness of the proposed method
