Abstract :
This report presents the basic analysis on the prediction of large seismic waves. Seismic waves can be detected by an interferometric gravitational wave antenna before their acoustic arrival, and can therefore be used in prediction. When an earthquake has a magnitude of M S~7, the gravitational deviation induces a strain in the antenna arm which is about ten times larger than the noise strain generated by random gravitational forces
