Abstract :
The use a small and low-cost Autonomous Underwater Vehicle (AUV), developed at CSIRO, is proposed to record data between fixed sensors with the aim of providing data sufficient to improve our understanding of the spatial extent of phenomena like the pycnocline and the effect of wind on salinity and temperature is. We suggest the spatial gap between time-series data collected from fixed nodes can be interpolated with data collected with an AUV.
