Abstract :
Key technologies are presented for establishing the object-oriented communication switching software based on CORBA, which is excellent for software productivity and system scalability. Requirements and conditions for communication switching systems are clarified and mapped to the elements of CORBA. How to deploy objects and how to bind objects so as to minimize processing load are discussed. Mechanisms that guarantee reliability of the system to save calls in service when the system is restarted are also proposed. Tentative estimation of the load of the distributed inter-object communication shows that our software structure does not largely degrade the call processing performance and is promising to establish the basis for next-generation communication switching systems
