Abstract :
Summary form only given. Do merged logic and DRAM integrated circuits have a viable future? With the evolution of highly specialized technologies that are optimized for either memory or logic, the survival of a merged technology is not guaranteed. The issues involved relate to performance, process complexity, testing, manufacturing and even the culture of the technical community. We will discuss the types of application that may be suitable for merged DRAM and logic integrated circuits.
