Abstract :
Components of medical decision-making are discussed on the basis of an actual patient with heart disease. A systems thinking framework developed by P. Senge (The Fifth Discipline, Currency and Doubleday Publishing, New York, 1990) is presented. The author tries to bring the clinical world and systems thinking to suggest areas for collaboration between physicians and systems scientists
