Abstract
Wind power exploitation development to provide Electricity has had more acceleration in recent years in compare with other sources of providing electrical energy in the world. Since, regions with the potential of wind energy are not necessarily close to consumers, analyzing and modeling of wind farms in order to distribute system load and to study the electrical and mechanical changes of them is important in many aspects. Using induction generators in order to generate electricity in wind turbines are improved generally. Above units are connected to radius and local grid and receive a considerable amount of reactive power from the grid. In this case analysis and modeling of them from the point of stability in order to study the system load distribution and electrical and mechanical parameters change affects is very important. Using FACTS devices in wind farm in order to keep stability and create generated power transmission conditions is considered very much. In this paper, a wind farm modeling and STATCOM usage are studied to increase the upper limits of induction generators dynamic stability in various distortion conditions in grid.
