Abstract
This paper presents a processing unit for tracking/estimating voltage-current phasor and frequency in power system based on New Adaptive Linear Combination Structure (ADALINE). The key idea of a processing unit is determine the coarse frequency and orthogonal coefficients. After that the frequency measurement and the orthogonal coefficients are fine tuned up to the new values by appropriately interact of the two feed back loops as show in Fig.1. The main algorithm properties are deduced by extensive using computer simulated. Transient and dynamic tests are provided to investigate. The algorithm showed a very high accuracy, robust, fast response and adaptability performance over a wide frequency range 10 to 2000 Hz with a good noise property. The error of the frequency, magnitude and phase angle measurement is nearly zero (1e-6) for steady state.
