Abstract :
The investigation of the acoustic guided wave propagation continues to be a topical problem of the bounded medium wave theory due to a wide range of applications of acoustic devices. There has been a great number of papers devoted to the study of wave propagation along irregular surfaces. Since the waveguides of various geometries are employed in the design of acoustic, and microwave systems, many similar problems have been analysed in detail by computational methods for the specific applications. Nevertheless, the physical phenomena, which can be described by analytical solutions, have not been revealed in a full manner, at least in some cases. We present a theoretical analysis of the transverse acoustic wave propagation in an isotropic solid layer with free boundaries, one of which has one-dimensional periodically irregular shape
