Abstract :
Jitter is one of the most important parameters for optical disc evaluation. In this paper, we describe the principle of optical disc data-to-data jitter and how to design a signal generator of optical disc data-to-data jitter. Then, a novel method is proposed to calibrate the data-to-data jitter based on Bessel-zero method. Finally, the evaluation of uncertainty in measurement for the calibration system is described. The results of theoretical analysis and experiments indicate that its expanded uncertainty of measurement is 0.13% in CD mode, and 0.18% in DVD mode.
