Abstract
Digital hospital construction, which has become the basic project of modern hospital, gave a challenge to the current hospital management pattern and concept. In view of the characteristics and problems of digital hospital construction, this paper analyzed the developing trends and the basic characteristics of the digital hospital, and discussed a multi-layered architecture of a digital hospital with digital medical equipments, computer network platform and hospital business application system as the core. The author suggested constructing a data storage center and five major application platforms with health care application platform as the core to implement the intercommunication among hospital major work systems through data sharing and exchange.
