Abstract
This paper investigates the channel equalization problem of airborne multi-channel SAR-GMTI system. A key problem for ground moving target indication is clutter suppression, which is sensitive to the correlation of channels. For the multi-channel system, there are differences among the characteristic of two channels and also the antenna amplitude patterns (phase as well as gain), which worsen the correlation of channels. This paper proposes a channel equalization method to improve the clutter suppression ratio. Theoretical analysis is illustrated with experimental airborne SAR data.
