Abstract
This paper compares the Fuzzy Logic (FLC) and Neural Networks (ANN) based controllers. These methods are based on the vibrations elimination in civil structures by means of active control strategy. The results show a great deal of improvement of the structure displacement minimization with the neural network controller with respect to the fuzzy logic controller. The drawback is observed with the increased complexity of the neural network controller.
