Abstract :
Waveguide-to-microstrip transitions are indispensable in millimeter components to combine planar integrated circuits with waveguide transmission elements for system researches and applications. In this paper, a W band low-loss broadband waveguide-to-microstrip probe transition is designed, optimized, fabricated and measured, which turns out to have very low insertion loss from 85GHz to 105GHz. This probe transition is very suitable for MIC and MMIC module applications around 94GHz.
