Abstract
Summary form only given, as follows. Distributed Active Radiator (DAR) arrays are presented as novel ways of harmonic generation, radiation, filtration to generate power at frequencies above the cut-off frequency of a technology. 2×1 and 2×2 arrays of DAR with beam-forming, implemented on PCB, oscillate at 1.25 GHz and radiate at the doubling frequency of 2.5 GHz. Measured EIRP of the 2×2 array is 12.96 dBm at 2.5 GHz, with more than 15 dB quasi-optical suppression of first and third harmonics, and 40° of beamforming in 2D space.
