  • Abstract
    Convolution is a representative operation in linear filters. Convolution carries out its operations by linear combination. The paper discusses a method to extend convolution so that it has nonlinearlity in the platform of convolution operation. It introduces an extension method which uses fuzzy operations instead of linear combination for convolution. It also describes several types of fuzzy convolutions which play a role in nonlinear filters. In addition some properties of fuzzy convolutions are investigated
