Abstract
The cavity perturbation method has been used to measure the permittivity of various dielectric materials. The traditional technique requires sample must be totally inserted in the resonant cavity. When a small sample is partially filled into the cavity, accurate measurement result is very difficult. In this paper, the measurement accuracy of dielectric constant was improved obviously compared to the present approach by introducing a modified factor. The error is reduced to 7% when the volume of the sample exceeds about 50%.
