Abstract :
This paper, the combustion characteristics at different heating rates of biomass were investigated via thermogrovimetry. TG experiment has been done in air atmosphere at different heating rates, viz. 20, 30, 40, 50 and 60 K min-1. The results showed that biomass burning in the air atmosphere at 100 ~ 150 square, 290 ~ 340 square, 350 ~ 550 square, there are three major weight-loss processes: dehydrating and drying, volatile´s distillation and combustion, fixed carbon´s combustion and burn out. And mass loss is about 90% Main combustion parameters, such as ignition temperature, ignition time, the temperature and time of the highest volatilization rate, peak value, under different heating rates was obtained by computing. Different heating rate have different effects on this combustion parameters, the ignition temperature rised with the heating rate increased, the ignition time was shortened, Similarly, when heating rate increased the temperature of the highest volatilization rate rised but the time was shortened. By means of analyzing the burning characteristics of biomass, it is helpful to improve the design and operation of practical equipments.
