Abstract
The current fixed spectrum allocation scheme leads to low spectrum utilization across the whole spectrum. It requires some more effective spectrum allocation and utilization policy, which allows unused parts of spectrum to become available temporarily for other usage, so that the scarcity of the spectrum can be largely mitigated. Taking the cognitive user´s service demand into account, we improve the traditional Graph-Coloring algorithm, and propose a demand-based spectrum allocation algorithm, to match between channel and user´s demand. The performance simulation demonstrates that the proposed algorithm can better satisfy demand in the network compared with the original algorithm.
