Abstract :
A compact highpass filter employing shorted stubs is presented in this paper for Ultra Wideband (UWB) systems. The filter is composed of 9 shorted stubs at regular intervals. In order to obtain compact filter structure, the main transmission line is been bended. The design formulas are derived by using an equivalent model of a parallel coupled transmission line. In order to validate the feasibility of the proposed design method, a 9 order highpass filter is designed and simulated. In the last part of the paper, we summary the simulated results and put forward the improvement of this filter.
