Abstract :
Airborne experiments of the Space Research Institute on radar backscatter from the sea surface have shown that the traditional Bragg resonant mechanism of scattering fails to explain the observed radar images of internal wave surface manifestations. The work concentrates on finding a theoretical model capable of accounting for previously neglected non-resonant scattering mechanisms, which we believe, are responsible for these experimental results
