Abstract
We have performed a broad-band hyper-spectral microscope which had been used to acquire images from fresh plasmodium falciparum infected blood sample based on a blood smear type. The sample had been studied as function of a kit of fifteen wavelengths from UV to IR. For each wavelength, the image had been analyzed as function of light intensities. The images had been studied using statistical functions like the coherence, entropies and mutual information. This had allowed us to find out the matching set of wavelengths for the study. The time dependence of images pixels intensities means values had showed that in this type of measurements the error of the maximum pixels intensities are about 3.4%. We collected large absorption spectra of the blood smear and we have estimated the quantitative absorption spectra of the plasmodium falciparum parasite using the hyperspectral images.
