Abstract :
In the complicated network, distributed GIS with Multi-Agent simulations can resolve some spatial problems, such as interoperability, resources migration and centralized management, in information transmission, data analysis and complicated operation. This paper discusses functional modes of distributed GIS in Multi-Agent simulations and researches on coupling GIS and Multi-Agent simulation. Besides, specific methods of Multi-Agent-based GIS coupling are put forward, and spatial representation and modeling of GIS with Multi-Agent simulation are discussed through construction of MAG. It is proved through the experiment that coupling GIS and Multi-Agent can significantly improve the system efficiency and have great influences on large-scale spatial analysis and operation.
