Abstract :
This paper proposes an autonomous distributed TDMA (time division multiple access) frame synchronization technique using a new algorithm to segregate the control channel bursts of each BS (base station) for PHS (Personal Handy phone System). The control channels use the same frequency in the PHS so that inter-base-station frame synchronization by segregating the control channel bursts makes it possible to produce a high quality service and to significantly improve the frequency utilization efficiency. The main feature of this proposed technique is that it can achieve high accuracy frame synchronization using UW (unique word), BS-ID, and LPF (low pass filter). Experiments confirm the effectiveness of the proposed TDMA frame synchronization technique
