Abstract :
In the design of control system of cascaded high voltage inverters, as the limitation of DSP´s resources, introduce FPGA into the design of controls of high voltage inverters. This paper design and realize the phase-shifted pulse-generator basing on FPGA, the pulse-generator receives the duty cycle from DSP computed by carrier phase-shifting space vector PWM algorithm, which compared with multi-channel phase-shifting carrier wave, then generate multi-channel PWM pulse, the generator can run independent from DSP. Furthermore, this paper embeds serial port receiver in the design of generator, which receives and analyzes the state and faulty informatiogn of power units which read by DSP when faulty occurs, this proposal alleviates the task of DSP processing the information of power units. The results of final experiments indicate that the design of pulse generator basing on FPGA not only simplify the design of circuit, improve the reliability of the system, but also solve the problem of concurrent triggering among all power units.
