Abstract
We demonstrate the functionality of the cascaded wavelength division multiplexed optical interfaces for dense-WDM millimeter-wave fiber-radio systems with the capability of adding and dropping wavelength interleaved fiber-radio channels with a channel spacing of 25 GHz. It also enables wavelength re-use in the uplink path eliminating the need for light source in the base station. The experimental results show that the proposed interface can be used in cascade with the additional power penalty observed below 1 dB.
