Abstract
A new numerical model of phase bridge method used for measuring the phase modulation (PM) noise in a pair of quartz crystal resonators is presented. The model is applied to 10 MHz BVA resonators to quantify the rejection of the source noise versus the resonant frequencies and the unloaded quality factors of quartz crystal resonators. An expression of PM noise in resonators is used to show the ultimate resolution of the measurement system
