Abstract :
Self-learning using the Internet can acquire not only concepts pertaining to the purpose of investigation, but also knowledge that is related to them, discovered in the process of investigation. As a result, we can learn a wide range of related knowledge free will. However in existing VOD (Video On Demand) systems, there is no function available to effectively combine and provide texts, pictures and videos, nor can the related knowledge be acquired. Therefore, in this paper in order to make it easy to learn both the video contents and the knowledge related to them, we developed a system to extract related information, such as keywords suitable for the video contents and their related words, and we built an interface to efficiently view those related information and videos. Moreover in consideration of the distributed VOD server we clearly describe the relations between video keywords, their related words through XML/RDF in a standardized, interoperable manner for sharing and combining of information.
