Abstract :
This paper presents the efficient techniques that are developed to enable the use of the 2D SVG display technology for 3D graphic display applications. Specifically, these techniques are used to enable the display of 2D SVG coded digital map in 3D view, e.g. with buildings in 3D display, hence providing a more realistic view when used in application like navigation system.
