Abstract
The work of the IEEE ABET (Ada-based environment for test) subcommittee in standardizing (as IEEE Std P1226) an environment for developing automated test programs in the Ada programming language is discussed. ABET will define standardized Ada mechanisms for implementing test programs with higher-level signal-oriented, UUT (unit-under-test)-directed test commands as defined by the ANSI/IEEE Std-716 C/ATLAS Test Language. The discussion covers the proposed ABET design, ABET language constructs, ABET signal-oriented statements, and the VXIbus implementation
