Abstract
In this paper, a renewable power generation system is firstly introduced. This system consists of three main units: a microturbine power generation unit, a photovoltaic (PV) power generation unit, and an ultracapacitor quick energy storage (QES) unit. The corresponding control strategies of these units are subsequently given. Then, a new prediction model-unequal-M-division N-point Euler-type Moving Average Prediction (UEMAP) model is proposed to operate the distributed generation system in autonomous mode. The simulation results by MatlabSimulink and PSIM indicate that the response characteristics of this renewable power generation system are good, and the required capacity of ultracapacitor to compensate the fluctuation of both photovoltaic output and load demand are also greatly reduced.
