Abstract :
A class of perfect reconstruction (PR) subband coding schemes is proposed. It uses a bank of causal stable recursive filters both at the analysis and synthesis ends. A general method of parametrizing all causal stable infinite impulse response (IIR) perfect reconstruction filters is given. A complete description of the entire class of linear phase (unstable) IIR subband coding schemes is provided
